Closing Speech by the 4th ADC Chairman

Your Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa, His Eminence Kyabje Choegon Rinpoche and eminent Rinpoches, Khenpos, Sri Rigzin Spalbar, Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, the DC, and my Vajra brothers and sisters.

On behalf of the ADC Organising Committee I welcome you all to the concluding ceremony of the 4th ADC.

I take the liberty to thank His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa for giving me the opportunity to make a small contribution to the 4th ADC.

On behalf of the ADC I would like to express our deep appreciation of the great work done by their Majesties the 4th & 5th king of Bhutan and  His Holiness Je Khenpo, the spiritual head of Bhutan, for preservation and promotion of Buddha Dharma in general and the Drukpa Lineage in particular.

Appreciating the importance of unity among Masters and followers of the Drukpa Lineage for preservation of the Lineage the Royal Govt. of Bhutan and H.H. Je Khenpo of Bhutan has been very supportive of the ADC since its inception. This time too the Royal Govt of Bhutan, HH Je Khenpo of Bhutan and Tago Choying Phodrang has sent their representatives to the 4th ADC. On behalf of the 4th ADC Organising Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to specially express our deep gratitude and appreciation to Their Majesties the Kings of Bhutan, His Holiness Je Khenpo, the spiritual head of Bhutan, and the spiritual-minded Government of Bhutan led by His Excellency the Prime Minister for their support.

I would also like to specially thank the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council and the local administration for their gracious support and assistance to the 4th ADC and we hope they will continue to extend the same support in future also.

The Drukpa Centres around the world have rendered great support to the ADC from the beginning. Special mention must be made of the Drukpa Asia centres in Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore for their dedicated support of the ADC. Thank you, Drukpa Asia.

I would also like to thank the monks of Hemis and Chemdey monasteries and nuns of Naro Phodrang for their selfless work in support of the ADC. I would like to specially thank the YDA volunteers for working relentlessly, day and night, to make the 4th ADC a success. Special thanks must also be extended to our sponsors and patrons for their generous donations.

In brief, everyone, including those working in the ADC offices, monks, nuns, volunteers, cooks and sweepers has worked dedicatedly with the sole aim of preserving our spiritual Lineage and fulfilling the wishes of our Root Guru His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa. Hence, the success of the 4th ADC is the result of our collective effort and our collective success.

At the end, I pray that His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa lives long and his activities spread around the globe for the benefit of the sentient beings. May all spiritual master live long and their activities flourish! May world peace prevail!
